Meghan Markle left the TV show "Suits" after the seventh season because her relationship with Prince Harry was becoming serious. Following her engagement to him in November 2017, she decided to retire from acting to focus on her new role and responsibilities related to joining the British Royal Family. The show’s creators and writers had planned her departure, writing her character Rachel Zane off after her marriage to Mike Ross in the season seven finale, which also marked the end of Patrick J. Adams' regular role. Since leaving "Suits," Meghan has not returned to acting and has focused on her family and other projects outside of acting.
