Morgan Wallen was arrested in April 2024 in Nashville after he allegedly threw a chair off the rooftop of Chief's Bar, a six-story establishment owned by fellow country musician Eric Church. The chair landed close to two police officers stationed outside the bar, which led to Wallen being charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts supported the claim that Wallen threw the chair while laughing. He initially denied the act but later pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges, resulting in a seven-day sentence at a DUI education program and two years of probation. Wallen expressed remorse for his behavior and accepted responsibility for his actions.
