Dustin Diamond was in jail primarily because of a stabbing incident that happened on Christmas Day in 2014 at a bar in Wisconsin. He was found guilty of two misdemeanors: carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct. Diamond allegedly stabbed a man during a bar fight while trying to defend his fiancée. The man was not seriously injured. Diamond was sentenced to four months in jail and served about three months before being released early for good behavior. Later, he was also arrested for violating probation related to this case after traces of drugs were found in his system despite being on supervised probation prohibiting drug and alcohol use.
