When turning left at a slip lane, you must give way to all vehicles on the road you are turning into, including any oncoming vehicles turning right into that road. You must also give way to any pedestrians or cyclists who are on or about to cross the slip lane. This rule applies whether or not there is a 'Give way' sign for the slip lane. In summary, the driver turning left at the slip lane must yield to:
- Vehicles already on the road they are entering.
- Oncoming vehicles turning right into the road they are entering.
- Any pedestrians or cyclists crossing or on the slip lane.
You must not stop in the slip lane unless a parking sign permits it.
