Topsheet and secondary topsheet: Soft top layer and secondary layer made of synthetic materials similar to those used in garments and in underwear. These synthetic materials are used to quickly channel the liquids into the absorbent core and keep your skin dry.

Absorbent core: Provides protection by absorbing and storing menstrual fluid.

Backsheet: Moisture-proof back layer made from synthetic materials to keep the fluid inside.

Adhesives: Used to ensure the pad adheres to underwear.
Always Ultra Thin pads also contain a light scent added for odor masking, but this is only included on pads labeled as “Scented” . Always pads are extensively tested for safe use, and over 200 quality tests are carried out on the products during manufacture before use. However, testing commissioned by Women’s Voices for the Earth in 2014 found that both scented and unscented Always pads emit toxic chemicals, including chemicals identified as carcinogens and reproductive and developmental toxins. None of these chemicals are disclosed on the product by the manufacturer.
