You cannot directly see who exactly sent or shared your Instagram post to others, especially if it was shared via Direct Messages. However, if you have a professional account (business or creator), Instagram allows you to see some insights about shares:
- You can see how many times your post has been shared.
- You can see who shared your post if it was reshared to their public Story using the "View story reshares" option.
- You get notifications if someone tags you in their story after resharing your post.
For personal accounts, you only see basic engagement like likes and comments, but not who shared or sent your posts. Switching to a professional account unlocks these additional sharing insights. Also, posts on private accounts are only visible to approved followers, which limits who can see or share them publicly. In summary, you cannot see who sent your post through private messages or shares except when reshared publicly to Stories and you have a professional account to access those insights.
