Yes, cats do lose their baby teeth, but only when they are kittens.
When it happens
Kittens start to lose their baby (deciduous) teeth at around 3 months of age. The process usually continues until about 6 to 7 months old, by which time most cats have all 30 of their permanent adult teeth.
What you might notice
Many people never see the baby teeth because kittens often swallow them or they fall out during play or eating. Signs can include more chewing on toys, mild gum redness, or occasionally spotting a tiny tooth on the floor or in bedding.
When to call a vet
If a kitten is older than about 7–8 months and still has small “double” teeth (a baby tooth and adult tooth in the same spot), a vet should check for retained baby teeth. Also contact a vet if there is bad breath, drooling, bleeding, or obvious pain, since those can indicate dental disease rather than normal teething.
