Tamil actor and comedian Robo Shankar died at the age of 46 due to a massive gastrointestinal bleed and multiple organ failure secondary to a complex abdominal condition. He collapsed on a film set on September 16, 2025, and was admitted to GEM Hospital in Chennai, where despite intensive medical care, his condition rapidly deteriorated and he passed away on September 18, 2025, at around 9:05 pm. Earlier, he had recovered from jaundice and had been on a strict diet after that. His sudden demise shocked fans, colleagues, and the film industry.
