Bucky Irving is dealing with a foot sprain injury that makes his playing status uncertain for the near term. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers do not fear this is a long-term injury. The injury is being treated on a week-to-week basis, with progress to be evaluated day-to-day. Head coach Todd Bowles indicated they would know more by Friday about whether Irving would be able to play in Week 5, but if he was still in a boot by then, it's likely he would not play. He has been seen on crutches and wearing a walking boot due to the injury, which occurred during the team's Week 4 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. While the severity of the sprain has not been fully disclosed, it does not currently appear to be season-ending. Rachaad White is expected to fill in if Irving remains sidelined.
