Luigi Mangione was on the run for several days after allegedly shooting the UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Midtown Manhattan. He was eventually found in Altoona, Pennsylvania, about 230 miles from the shooting location, where he had been for several days before his capture. The incident and the capture happened within a span of roughly one week in December 2024.
