There are three main Godfather movies in the series:
- The Godfather (1972)
- The Godfather Part II (1974)
- The Godfather Part III (1990)
Additionally, there is a recut version of the third movie titled "The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone" released in 2020, which is a re-edited version of Part III by the director Francis Ford Coppola. But the core series consists of three main films directed by Coppola and based on the novel by Mario Puzo.
