You earn Hilton Honors points based primarily on your spending during a stay. The base earning rate for Hilton Honors members without elite status is 10 points per eligible dollar spent on room charges and other qualifying incidentals
. If you have elite status, you earn more points per dollar:
- Silver members earn 12 points per dollar
- Gold members earn 18 points per dollar
- Diamond members earn 20 points per dollar
Eligible spending includes room rate, food and beverages charged to the room, telephone, laundry, pay-per-view movies, entertainment, recreational facilities, and other incidental charges billed to your room. Taxes and charges not billed to the room generally do not earn points
. There is no limit to how many points you can earn per stay, so the total points earned depend on your total eligible spending and your membership status. In summary, you earn at least 10 Hilton points per dollar spent on most stays, with higher earning rates if you have elite status
