The attack on Pearl Harbor resulted in approximately 2,403 American deaths, including military personnel and civilians. Of these, about 1,177 were Navy members, 233 were Army, 109 were Marines, and 68 were civilians. Additionally, around 1,178 people were wounded during the attack. Japanese casualties included about 64 to 129 killed, depending on sources. The deadliest loss of life occurred on the USS Arizona, where over half of the American fatalities took place.
