- 40 individuals died outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where United Airlines Flight 93 crashed.
The total figure includes civilians, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and military personnel. The youngest victim was a 2-year-old child, and the oldest was 85 years old. The attacks resulted in the deaths of people from over 90 countries.
