The Women's Rugby World Cup is held every four years. There have been a couple of exceptions in the past where the schedule was shifted, such as the three- year gap between the 1991 and 1994 tournaments and the tournament being moved a year forward in 2017, but generally, it follows a quadrennial cycle. The 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup in England is the next edition, returning to the traditional four-year rhythm after the 2021 tournament was postponed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
