To clean Karndean flooring effectively, follow these steps:
- Remove loose dirt and dust using a soft sweeping brush, vacuum (hard floor setting), or dust mop.
- Prepare a cleaning solution by mixing 50ml of Karndean Clean (a pH-neutral cleaner) with 8-10 liters of clean water.
- Mop the floor with the cleaning solution, applying it evenly and removing any excess liquid.
- Allow the floor to dry completely before walking on it.
- For spills, wipe them up immediately with a clean cloth or paper towel using Karndean Clean or a mild detergent solution.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, vinegar, or wax as they can damage the floor.
For occasional deeper care (every 6 to 12 months):
- Use Karndean Remove diluted 1 part to 5 parts water to clean thoroughly, scrubbing with the appropriate pad and rinsing well.
- Then apply Karndean Refresh undiluted to restore a satin finish and protection, letting it dry between coats and overnight before use.
Using a soft brush or microfiber mop is recommended to avoid scratching the surface. Regular cleaning prevents dirt build-up and maintains the floor’s appearance and durability.
