India won its first two medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the sport of shooting. Manu Bhaker won the first medal, a bronze in the women's 10m air pistol event, becoming the first Indian woman to win an Olympic shooting medal. She then won a second bronze medal in the mixed team 10m air pistol event with Sarabjot Singh, making her the first Indian to win two medals at the same edition of the Olympics since independence.
