The tooth powders are used by dipping a wet toothbrush into the jar to pick up a pea-sized amount of powder, then brushing as normal and avoiding rinsing to allow the hydroxyapatite to sit on the teeth for remineralization. The tooth powders are made with hydroxyapatite, a naturally occurring mineral that makes up over 90% of the foundation of tooth enamel. They also contain other ingredients like essential oils to help battle gum disease and add a minty taste for fresh breath, and xylitol to kill bad bacteria in the mouth but leave the good bacteria alone. The tooth powders do not contain foaming agents like sulfates, so they wont foam in the mouth like traditional toothpaste.
