Natural resources are materials or things that people use from the earth. There are two types of natural resources: renewable and nonrenewable.
Renewable resources are those that can grow again or never run out, such as sunlight, wind, water, and geothermal sources. These resources are replenished naturally and can be used repeatedly without running out.
Nonrenewable resources, on the other hand, are those that can run out or be used up. They usually come from the ground and are not replaced or renewed, such as fossil fuels like coal, petroleum, and natural gas. These resources take millions of years to form and are finite in quantity. Once they are depleted, they cannot be replaced in our lifetimes or even in many, many lifetimes.
In summary, renewable resources are those that can be replenished naturally and can be used repeatedly without running out, while nonrenewable resources are finite in quantity and cannot be replaced once they are depleted.
