what happened to sophia in the walking dead

Sophia is a fictional character from the comic series The Walking Dead and was portrayed by Madison Lintz in the television series of the same name. In the TV series, Sophia is chased by two walkers after one found her under the car when the herd walked by. She and Rick split up and he tells her to head back to the highway, but she never gets back there. She is missing for a while until they open the barn on the farm and find Sophia inside, as a walker. Rick is then forced to shoot her in the head, killing her. Therefore, Sophia dies and reanimates as a walker, and is later found by Otis and taken back to Hershels farm where she is put into the barn.
