Adaptive Noise Control is a feature available on the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) that blends Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode together to tailor the level of noise control based on the conditions in the environment. This feature is part of Adaptive Audio, which also includes Personalized Volume and Conversation Awareness. Personalized Volume adjusts the media volume on the AirPods Pro based on environmental conditions and the users volume preferences, while Conversation Awareness seamlessly lowers the media volume and enhances voices in front of the user when they start talking. Adaptive Audio features can be enabled or disabled on the AirPods Pro using an iPhone or iPad in Settings. The feature can also be turned on by opening Control Center on an iPhone, long-pressing on the volume/AirPods slider, tapping the Noise Control button, and choosing Adaptive. Adaptive Audio is only available on the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) .
