Cell class 8 refers to the study of cells in the science curriculum for students in 8th grade. Cells are the fundamental structural units of living organisms and the basic units of life. According to the CBSE Syllabus 2023-24, the chapter on cell structure and functions has been removed from the NCERT Class 8 Science textbook. However, students can still learn about cells from other sources such as online resources, textbooks, and other study materials. The study of cells includes their definition, structure, types, and functions. Cells are the building blocks of life and are responsible for all of lifes processes. They contain a fluid called the cytoplasm, which is enclosed by a membrane, and several biomolecules like proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids. Cells also comprise several cell organelles that perform specialized functions to carry out life processes. The study of cells from its basic structure to the functions of every cell organelle is called Cell Biology.
