A civil litigation attorney, also known as a civil lawyer or a litigator, is a lawyer who handles non-criminal cases and legal disputes. Civil litigation is a legal process involving a dispute between two parties that isnt based on criminal actions. Civil litigation attorneys represent individuals in non-criminal cases and their main responsibility is to take into account the client’s best interests while aggressively and lawfully representing their client in the courtroom. They handle a wide range of cases, including personal injury claims, antitrust litigation, civil rights, product liability suits, accident cases, premises liability, insurance claims and disputes, employment disputes, and more. Civil litigation paralegals perform many of the same tasks as litigators, but they cant actually practice law. Even so, their duties are interesting and require legal expertise. Some common duties in a civil law practice include pre-trial documentation, research-heavy duties, and handling many of the critical details required for a successful case.
