According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the federal mileage rate for 2023 is 65.5 cents per mile for business purposes, 22 cents per mile for medical or moving purposes, and 14 cents per mile for charitable purposes. The business use rate has increased by 3 cents per mile from the second half of 2022. These rates apply to travel starting on January 1, 2023.
