Oscar style steak is a dish that typically consists of a steak, usually filet mignon or beef tenderloin, topped with crab or lobster meat, as well as asparagus, and an emulsified butter sauce such as Hollandaise or BĂ©arnaise. The dish is said to have been named in honor of Swedens King Oscar II, who was particularly fond of its ingredients. While the dish was originally made with veal cutlets, it is now more commonly made with steak.
