POSCO is a South Korean steel-making company headquartered in Pohang, South Korea, and is recognized as the worlds most competitive steelmaker. It had an output of 42,000,000 metric tons of crude steel in 2015, making it the worlds sixth-largest steelmaker by this measure. POSCO is not an acronym, but it is the name of the company. It does not stand for anything. However, POSCO can also refer to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, which is a special law in India to protect children from all forms of sexual abuse. The act provides protection to children from the offenses of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and pornography, and it has child-friendly procedures for reporting, recording of evidence, investigation, and fast trial of offenses by the decided special courts.
