A Scrum of Scrums is a technique used to scale Scrum up to large groups of over a dozen people, where the groups are divided into Agile teams of 5-10 members. The purpose of a Scrum of Scrums is to provide a platform for cross-team collaboration and planning, highlighting dependencies, and addressing points of integration or conflict. It involves multiple Scrum teams meeting together by having one or two representatives from each separate Scrum getting together. The representatives are called ambassadors and are selected from each individual team, who may be either a developer or Scrum Master. The Scrum of Scrums meetings are time-boxed sessions where ambassadors report completions, next steps, and impediments on behalf of the teams they represent. The Scrum of Scrums allows teams to collectively work on team-wide risks, impediments, and ensure a fully integrated product at the end of every sprint.
