A VGA (Video Graphics Array) cable is a standard connector used for computer video output. It is a device used to transfer video signals by acting as a link between the computer and the display monitor. The VGA connector is a 15-pin D-Sub connector that carries analog RGBHV (red, green, blue, horizontal sync, vertical sync) video signals. VGA connections usually receive an analog RGB signal from a device, such as a computer, and support standard and high-definition resolutions. VGA cables do not transmit audio signals, so a separate audio connection is required to hear any audio. Although VGA is an older connection type, it is still commonly used to connect computers and laptops with screens and monitors, as well as projectors and high-definition television sets. The same VGA cable can be used with a variety of supported VGA resolutions, ranging from 320×400px @70 Hz, or 320×480px @60 Hz to 1280×1024px (SXGA) @85 Hz and up to 2048×1536px (QXGA) @85 Hz.
