Zuza had acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a type of blood cancer originating from the bone marrow. She was diagnosed with AML when she was 3 years old and battled this aggressive cancer for over a decade until her recent passing at age 14. AML causes the proliferation of abnormal blood cells in the bone marrow, leading to severe symptoms like fatigue, weakness, and bruising. Despite her long and difficult fight, Zuza shared her journey openly on social media, inspiring millions with her courage and gratitude for life.
