The Black Death, a bubonic plague pandemic, started in Asia and reached Europe between 1346 and 1353. The pandemic was first introduced to Europe in 1347 during the siege of the Genoese trading port of Kaffa in Crimea. From there, it spread rapidly to various parts of Europe, with England first seeing cases in June 1348. The pandemic is one of the most fatal in human history, killing up to 50 million people in Europe alone.

Additionally, recent studies trace the origins of the Black Death to an epidemic in Central Asia around 1338-1339 before spreading westward along trade routes.

So, the Black Death started in Asia around the late 1330s, reached Europe primarily from 1346 onwards, and had its most severe impact during the years 1347 to 1353.
