Sukkot in 2025 begins at sundown on Monday, October 6, and continues through Monday, October 13. It lasts for seven days, starting immediately after Yom Kippur. The first two days (October 6-8) are full festival days with work restrictions, followed by intermediate days known as Chol HaMoed when regular activities resume. The festival ends with Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah, which are separate but closely connected holidays. Sukkot is celebrated from the 15th to the 21st of the Hebrew month of Tishrei, which generally falls in late September to October on the Gregorian calendar each year.
