Ned Kelly lived in several places during his life.
- His childhood home was in Beveridge, Victoria, where the Kelly family lived for about five years in a simple timber cottage built by Ned's father, John 'Red' Kelly. They ran a small dairy farm there before moving when Ned was 10 years old.
- After Beveridge, the family moved to Avenel, Victoria, and later to Greta, Victoria, where Ned lived on Fifteen Mile Creek from about age 12 after his father died. The Kellys continued to live in Greta during much of Ned's youth.
- There is also folk history suggesting that Ned Kelly may have hidden for a time in South Australia's Clare Valley, in a place known locally as "Ned's Hut" or "Kelly's Place," during his time on the run from the police.
Thus, Kelly's main residences were Beveridge, Avenel, and Greta in Victoria, with possible temporary refuge locations in South Australia.
