Cupertino is a city located in Santa Clara County, California, United States. It sits on the western edge of the Santa Clara Valley, just west of San Jose and near the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay. It is well known as the home of Apple Inc.'s headquarters, Apple Park, and is a major city in Silicon Valley, nestled against the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The city has a population of approximately 60,000 as of 2020 and covers an area of about 11.3 square miles. Cupertino is about 42 miles south of San Francisco and is bordered by San Jose, Santa Clara, Saratoga, Sunnyvale, and Los Altos.
