Everton is a suburb located in the north of Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It lies within the Liverpool Walton constituency and is bordered by Vauxhall to the west, Kirkdale to the north, and Anfield to the northeast. Historically, Everton was a small rural parish before becoming part of Liverpool in 1835. Its population and character have transformed over time, evolving from a modest agricultural settlement into a more densely populated urban area. Everton is also known for giving its name to the Everton Football Club, one of the oldest and most successful football clubs in England, although the club itself has played in neighboring districts rather than Everton proper for most of its history.
