Grand Blanc is a city located in Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It serves as a suburb of Flint and lies in southeast Genesee County. The city coordinates are approximately 42.9275°N latitude and 83.63°W longitude. Grand Blanc Township, which surrounds the city but is administratively autonomous, covers 36 square miles and has a combined population with the city of about 47,500 people. The area is part of the Flint metropolitan region. Historically, Grand Blanc was originally settled by Chippewa Indians and later by French traders and pioneer families.
