where is quantico

Quantico is a town located in northeastern Virginia, in Prince William County, United States. It lies along the Potomac River, approximately 35 miles (55 km) southwest of Washington, D.C. The town is largely surrounded by Marine Corps Base Quantico, a major U.S. Marine Corps installation which serves as a training and headquarters site for several federal agencies including the FBI Academy and the DEA Training Academy. The town itself is quite small, about 43 acres in area, while the Marine base covers about 59,000 acres. Quantico has historical significance dating back to European settlement in the 17th century and was involved in the American Civil War. It is accessible by Amtrak and Virginia Railway Express commuter trains.
