Thailand is located in Southeast Asia, in the center of the Indochinese peninsula. It shares land borders with Myanmar (Burma) and Laos to the north and east, Cambodia to the southeast, and Malaysia to the south. The country sits between the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, and its maritime boundaries extend toward the south into the Indian Ocean.
