The Cousins Beach house from "The Summer I Turned Pretty" series is actually located at Porters Neck Plantation, a private, gated golf course community in Wilmington, North Carolina. This real-life mansion serves as the exterior of the Fisher family's beach house. While Cousins Beach is a fictional town supposedly set in Massachusetts, the filming of many of its scenes took place around Wilmington and its surrounding beaches, including Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Wrightsville Beach. The "Entering Cousins Beach" sign was filmed near the Wilmington Cape Fear Pilots Association old lookout tower in the nearby town of Southport, North Carolina. The interior scenes of the house were filmed mostly on a soundstage in Wilmington.
