Most of the production took place in and around London, England, including studio work and various city exteriors. Key studio work was done at Leavesden Film Studios in Hertfordshire, a major UK production facility.
Church and countryside
The exterior church and graveyard scenes were filmed at Holy Innocents Church in High Beach, Epping Forest, Essex, which doubles as the neo‑Gothic church in upstate New York. Forest and woodland scenes, including the mausoleum and cabin area, were shot in Winterfold Forest in Surrey, using its rows of trees to mimic Hudson Valley woods.
Other UK and US spots
A house on an estate near Guildford in Surrey was used as the home of Vera Draven, providing an “American‑feeling” upscale residence. Some establishing and street shots were filmed in Cold Spring, New York, a real Hudson Valley town that inspired Chimney Rock’s look.
