The Battle of Bunker Hill was fought primarily on Breed's Hill in Charlestown, Massachusetts, which is now part of Boston. Although named after the nearby Bunker Hill, most of the combat occurred on the adjacent Breed's Hill during the early stages of the American Revolutionary War on June 17, 1775. The location is just north of Boston and near the Charles River.
