where were the crusades fought

The Crusades were fought primarily in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Levant, with major theaters in and around the Holy Land (including present-day Israel, Palestine, Jordan, and parts of Syria) and adjacent regions. They also included campaigns in Anatolia (modern Turkey), Egypt, and occasional incursions into Iberia and North Africa, spanning roughly the late 11th to the late 13th centuries.
