Several countries generate around 99% or more of their electricity from renewable energy sources. Notably, Costa Rica produces about 99% of its electricity from renewables such as hydropower, wind, biomass, solar, and geothermal. Other countries achieving almost 100% renewable electricity include Iceland, Norway, Paraguay, Albania, Bhutan, Nepal, Ethiopia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. These countries mainly rely on hydropower, geothermal, and other renewable sources to reach this level of renewable energy generation.
