who discovered taylor swift

Taylor Swift was discovered by Scott Borchetta, then a DreamWorks Records executive, who first noticed her talent when she was a teenager singing at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville in 2004. Borchetta was impressed with her country music talent and later founded Big Machine Records, signing Taylor Swift as the label's first big artist in 2005. Her debut album was released under this label in 2006.
