The current Duchess of York is Sarah Ferguson. She is the former wife of Prince Andrew, Duke of York. After their divorce in 1996, she retained the title Sarah, Duchess of York. She is popularly known as Fergie and is a British author, philanthropist, and public personality. She and Prince Andrew have two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. As of 2025, Sarah Ferguson remains the Duchess of York by title but she is no longer a member of the active royal family and does not participate in official royal functions. Recently, she has been in the news because several charities cut ties with her following the revelation of an email she sent in 2011 referring to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as her "supreme friend," which caused significant public controversy and damaged her public image.
