Having so many flies in the house is usually due to their attraction to decaying organic matter such as food scraps, garbage, pet waste, or compost. Flies enter through open doors, windows, or gaps in the home and find suitable breeding grounds in moist, warm environments like garbage bins, drains, or areas with standing water. Once inside, they lay eggs in these materials, leading to rapid multiplication—since a single fly can lay hundreds of eggs multiple times during its life. Warm weather also accelerates their growth cycle. Other common causes include overripe fruits, dirty dishes, uncleaned pet messes, damp areas, and even houseplants with moist soil. Proper sanitation, sealing entry points, and eliminating breeding grounds are crucial to controlling the infestation.
