Pooh Shiesty was locked up due to a federal gun-related charge stemming from a 2020 incident in Florida. He pleaded guilty in January 2022 to conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes. This was connected to a shooting at a gas station in Memphis and a related robbery involving drugs and expensive sneakers at a hotel in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida. He was sentenced to 63 months (over five years) in federal prison in April 2022 after a plea agreement dismissed several other charges, some of which could have led to a life sentence. Pooh Shiesty served about three years before being released early in October 2025 for good behavior and time served.
His legal troubles also involved multiple arrests related to violent incidents, including a shooting at a Miami strip club, and charges such as armed robbery, aggravated assault, and battery. The gun conspiracy charge was the main federal conviction for which he was imprisoned.
