In a day on IRCTC, the maximum number of tickets a user can book depends on whether their user ID is linked to Aadhaar or not.
- If the user ID is linked to Aadhaar, a maximum of 24 tickets can be booked in a month.
- If the user ID is not linked to Aadhaar, the limit is 12 tickets in a month.
Additionally, a passenger can book up to 6 tickets at a time for general reservations. For Tatkal bookings, a maximum of 4 passengers per PNR can be booked, and one passenger can book up to 4 Tatkal tickets on one PNR. This means while the maximum daily booking depends on the user ID and booking approach, the monthly cap is either 12 or 24 tickets depending on Aadhaar linkage, and each single booking transaction can include up to 6 tickets for general and 4 passengers for Tatkal.
