Philip Rivers is returning to play for the Indianapolis Colts and will again wear his longtime number 17, which he used throughout his Chargers career and in his first stint with the Colts in 2020. The number became available after Daniel Jones, who had been wearing 17 this season, was placed on injured reserve, allowing Rivers to reclaim it.
