They were founded in 1919 by Earl "Curly" Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun and have played in Green Bay their entire history, making them the only major league professional sports team in the U.S. that is community-owned and based in a small city. The Packers have a rich history in the NFL and have played their home games at Lambeau Field in Green Bay since 1957.
