The song "Despacito" was written by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, Panamanian singer and songwriter Erika Ender, and Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee. The lyrics were written in late 2015 at Luis Fonsi's house in Miami. The song was produced by Mauricio Rengifo and Andrés Torres and was released as the lead single from Luis Fonsi's 2019 studio album "Vida".
